04/24/10 Call It Like I See It

so a while back i heard that the smithsonian was interested in acquiring a mike v "barnyard" deck because of its relevance to skateboard history as the first symmetrical double kicked deck. and i was thinking how that deck released in 1990. the summer of '89 i cut, hand shaped and painted some decks for me and my crew. i had been trying tricks off my nose earlier that summer and decided to cut a 6.5" nose on mine. everyone thought it was ridiculous and called it the "frankenstein" deck. i'm not sayin i'm the only one, but i was on to it. and as another side note: i painted warner brother's characters like daffy duck and pepe le pew on all the boards... i was way ahead of you rocco... good thing i grew up in wisconsin.
